Guys I appreciate all of your thorough responses and pictures. I also have some intrest in the FIPK, as it I feel it is a complete system. Some people say that there is some problems the way it takes air in. Something along the lines of it taking in warm air vs. cool. Does, any one have a FIPK,times or HP gains with it? How was the installation? I agree that the clear lid is the way to go for the lid route. I also like the different look. Some more input from FIPK owners please.

i have a 2000 ram air with the slp lid and it does rub on the hood a little, right towardts the top where the MAF plugs in. I wouldnt say that it rubs enough to do any major damage to the hood or the lid, but if i had to do it again i would have definetly gone with the clear TSP lid

Can someone please name and brand of lid(besides SLP) that does not include a K&N breather filter? I cannot stand that. I hope there is another co. besides SLP. Way things are looking, their probably not going to get my $95. The Texas one I heard is great, fits well, but does not look like there is a fitting on it for that tube. Please help guys.

I don't know why other people are having problems w/ their SLPs fitting. Mine fits great. Also I don't know of another company that has the fitting for the A.I.R. tube sorry.

I really like my FIPK the only time the IAT gets high is when sitting, when moving the IAT does not usually get elevated. I could really feel the FIPK SOTP. I think it is a really good product but the choice is up to you. My dyno #s are in my sig. This is with an 11.7:1 A/F ratio(very rich) and 3.73s in an A4. Good Luck man

And I would agree. I have a K&N FIPK on my LT1, and I also feel like it is the best mod. I think the one for the LS1's is the cleanest and most complete system for the LS1. Since you have one I have some questions for you. I noticed in a lot of sale ads that there is some black plate? Does that come with the kit? Most importantly I hope you don't have to DRILL anything. Also, if you have an 01-02, does it have a fitting for the A.I.R. like the LT1 FIPK? Thanks for you help, and those are some great gains, I have an SS so they should be decent.
