tsp, slp, mti, there are a few more also. why do you want to know?

a lid is a lid is a lid when it comes to performance gains. just buy the one thats best in your budget and you think looks the best.

Granatelli and Whisper are some other ones, but I know there are some more out there. The question should be "Who doesn't make one?" lol

Peace,
Craig.

BTW- Nice car!

My question boils down to garbage. Im not necessarily concerned with how much HP or increased flow they give. More impotantly I want one that looks good and fits right. Do any of you have a pic of the TSP lid?

One more thing guys. I have an 02 and I know that some companies includ a small K&N breather for this year. My question has to do with the SLP one. I noticed the SLP lids for 02 have a tube that comes out of the lid. Is this to elminate the small breather? I don't want one of those breathers on my car because I think it looks like crap. Anyone have an 01-02 with the SLP lid?

some pictures.. note bottem of the air box... the key to the entire intake system. i love this lid. the seal is great (foam seal with k&n fliter is used for a great seal. the only thing i dont like about it is the bottem of the tube rubbs on the top of the radiator mount... one day ill put some foam tape there to fix it.. but i would rather have it rub there than on the hood.

sorry that was alot of pics. my lid is the 'carbon fiber' one... i was pissed that it was just abs plastic when it came but whatca gonna do

bassicaly lids are the cheap and easy mod that every one produces... you really wont notice that big of a diffrence in hp from one company to the next. almost all of them require you to use the k&n foam seal so its not like there is a high level of persion required. my suggestion, the cheapest one that dosent rub in any visable area....... i hate to sound bias but lets just face it... i know how to pick em

I'm currently running an SLP lid on my '01 SS, the SLP lid doesn't rub my hood and it does include hose/fittings for the AIR line hookup, so you don't need the breather filter. Also, my SLP lid rubbed the rad support under the neck as well, so I filed it flat in that area...problem solved. I just ordered a TSP smoked clear lid for the added bling factor!

Here's a pic of my SLP. It fit's great and doesn't rub. And yes you hook up that hose to the lid.
