cleaning heads
1) Scrape off any gasket, use a tool appropriate for Aluminum
2) Obtain a can of....
- WD-40
- Brake Clean (Cleen)
- Shop Rags
- Scotchbrite pads (you can use green or red, I have used both)
Do you basic cleaning by getting the heavy stuff, then brake cleen, wipe.
Then cut the pad in half, wet the pad and spray the head and start scrubbing. The WD-40 will get the carbon and other nasty stuff but not scuff the head or taking metal off the head or messing up the machining surface.
After clean up using the rag and some brake clean. Should look mint.
