Default Oil pan template.

Does anyone have a downloadable (PDF ?) LS oil pan template? Just of the face that mates with the block ?

My engine doesn't fit the car because it has the wrong (GTO - front sump) pan (it needs F-Body type - rear sump).

I want to get the engine & trans mounted properly, and I have the stands and mounts here now to do that, but not the new pan yet.
I am planning to remove the GTO pan, but I want to make a sheet of metal that I can blank off the block with in place of the GTO pan.

I know I can do this once I have the GTO pan off, but I'd like to get making the plate tonight at my uncle's place, and get on with the crane business tomorrow. The engine is actually in the car, but it's resting on the pan at the moment, so I can't exactly just pull off the GTO pan now.

thanks,
Carl

You don't have a way to support the Engine to pull the Pan at the moment?

Well, I'd have to get the crane out of the shed, lift the engine, get mucky etc.
Car is on the driveway. I'm in England.. small house.

I want to leave all that messy business for tomorrow, and have something to get be getting on with tonight.

I suppose a diagram of the oil pan gasket, with dimensions, would be ideal.
