if you have a leak somewhere behind the MAF it can cause idle issues which can feel like the trans

Lol it all comes down to a matter of opinion. the 4l60e has never given me any problems. The one in my s10 had 120k on it and still ran like a champ and i beat the hell out of it. And the one in my Z is still doing just fine. I'm sure it will need a rebuild once i run more power, but i don't see why people say it's such a bad tranny. A built 4l60e can be a very solid trans.

haha but yea i've already had a couple of these ricer kids around here tell me they don't want to race me because they'd be ashamed to lose to an automatic haha

I dont think its a matter of opinion just some people are luckier then others. Mine lasted only five thousand miles after a higher stall.

matter of opinion speaking for t56 vs. 4l60e

I am building my Z as a fully streetable drag car, and an Automatic is what i believe is best for that setup.

Make sure the air temp sensor (mounts in the neck of the lid and has a round connector) is plugged in, and functioning. I left mine unplugged once and the car shifted real hard and fast.
