You'll need a block off plate for the egr in the exhaust manifold, and two coolant plugs for the rear heads and crossover tube in the front.

not to jack the thread, but i was wondering if anyone could help tell me how to identify if an 01-02 came with an Ls6 block or Ls1 block? I heard they only built very few with the Ls6 block but ya never know. Part number to check for somewhere? Does it make a difference which block was used?

You wont really need the coolant crossover tube in the front, you can simply save the money and keep your better cooling system by filling down the ridges on the bottom of the intake.

You can also do the LS6 PCV conversion if you get the LS6 valley cover. With the intake off it is a good time to do it. Also if you have high mileage, you might want to invest in new knock sensors. I did an LS6 intake recently and of course I just got the SES light for the sensors so I gotta take it back off but it really isnt that tough of a job.

I couldnt find a torque wrench that read that small for the manifold install so I just torque the bolts slow and methoically and no apparent leaks. Good luck!

you can also find out what block by the code on the driver side door. it should say ls6 on there. i doubt you got one, even if you did all it is is rare. nothing special about it.
