Red face LS1 Carb.

What are the Advantages and Disadvantages between A Fuel Injection LS1 And The LS1 Carburetor.

man i dont know anyone personally running a ls1 carb, seems most everybody runs with fuel injection....better gas mileage, retunes itself based on weather and how you drive, in most cases spot on air/fuel....advantages of carb...your unique....hope that helps in some sort of way, just saw nobody else replied so....

Better fuel/air distribution for each individual cylinder b/c the carb intake owns the LS1 style intake.

Hot Rod magazine just did a cam test in an LS motor a couple issues ago and did each cam with FI and a carb and the carb made more HP everytime.

advantage= don't need a tuner lol unless you don't know how to tune a carb

The biggest advantage of FI to 4th gen owners, is that it fits under the cowl without modification. Carb setups were intended for conversions without space issues. For example, a 71 Chevelle that didn't want to run a Camaro ECM.
