Default need guidance hooking up 3 gauges

I'm hooking up Oil Pressure, Oil Temp, and EGT (all 1/8 NPT). There are a few places to put each sender but I'm only looking for the best places. I'm new to the LS1 so please give me as much info as you can.

Which cylinder for the EGT? Number 7 or 8? Sender needs to be 6-12 inches from cylinder head.
Oil pressure or temp at the oil pan above the filter?
Where would the other go?

I'm thinking oil temp at the oil pan because that's the closest I can get to the crank and bearings. Then oil pressure somewhere else on the block, but where?

The hot cylinder would be most beneficial. I've found threads that both 7 and 8 are the hot cylinder so it might just come down to whichever fits better. Straight doesn't really come into play, its just measuring temp. You might be thinking of a wideband at the collector.

I just installed a EGT in our racecar in order to tune the car.

The instructions said it didnt matter which cylinder it was based on their testing, you just wanted to use the primary with the straightest shot coming out of the head.

Why are you putting an EGT sensor in a car with no turbo anyway? Its basically pointless since there are 2 o2 sensors to tune from.

No boost for now and I'd rather not buy the exact same thing twice. If I could find a buyer for a PLX EGT sender and module I would ditch it now and buy another later.

It works about as good as a narrowband anyways haha
