I've had my LM2 on just like you're saying for about 4 years now. I pulled it down when I thought it would melt the paint and **** on the bumper and it's fine. It should NOT melt the bumper/paint/clear. It will be fine. Nothing has happened to mine in 4 years.

i just put my loudmouth on the other day. tips are right on the bumper. i dont think its going to get hot enough to melt it. even if it does its only the pass side u would have to worry about, and even if it does start to disfigure the plastic a little you wont be able to see it.

that was the first thing i thought about when put mine on too

It should be fine as long as the tips come out further than the bumper. Melting isnt what you have to worry about, but on my TA my tips dont come out all the way so the paint is a little faded above them.

are your tips welded on or clamped on?? mine are clamped, easy to adjust the hang angle.

Unless you have your cat-back welded up at all the slip joints you should be able to adjust it for maximum axle, PHB support bracket, and bumper cover clearance.
