C5R Heads - Need Valve Cover "Gasket"
Any one can tell me where to buy the rubber ring in the top surface of the heads under the valve covers. Running C5R covers also. Not at GM.
Thanks in advance, George

your talking about the valve cover gasket, right...
Sounds like you might be better off buying a used set of valve covers... i dont see why the gasket would come with the heads... unless the heads came with valve covers. But maybe i misunderstood your post.
Did you lose it or are you having a problem getting it back in? If its just a matter of it looking like it stretched out, you can (with some work) get it back in. You can cut it if you have to take some slack out. Just seal it with some gasket maker.
I dont know if there is a difference between the c5r/ls1/ls6 valve covers, but i think they are the same.

The covers are not interchangeable. Typically the gasket fits into the valve cover. On these heads there is a grove in the head and the cover is flat. You can see a fine rubber band in the one photo.
