"check gages" light is on, what does it mean

I seen the same check gauges light come on too but my tach needle starts to jump and if push the clutch pedal in the car stalls.....anyone else ever seen this or heard of this.

hi guys i have a little update.....turns out my battery wasn't as secure as i thought and that was the problem. i add a strap that goes over the battery and all is good since then.
