Double post ftw lol. What is the da at your track, temps when you ran it? Stock stall isn't helping. Is that 434rwtq or 343 rwtq?

its an a4 so i hope hes not manually shifting it, 105 doesnt sound bad for a minor bolt on a4, but if you have heads/cam you have serious problems at 343hp.

In general, things that effect your MPH.

Track Conditions: Such as Elevation and the D/A of the day/run, wind conditions.

Race Weight: Get that pig and yourself weighed, and then you can compare to similar cars/set ups.

MPH/Automatic: Unfortunately automatic cars dyno like pigs and what a car does at the track is more important.

Setup: if there is a cam in the car persay, a converter will at most times make it work better, a good converter will not have too much slippage etc etc.

Over all you need to give us more info about the car.

IMO a 105 MPH in a place that has a near sea level DA, and has a lid and cat back w/ tune can do 105-107 mph.

Those times are pretty poor for H/C car. Unless the track was like ice you should be much quicker. My mods are only a 3400 converter and MT radials and it runs 12.9s @ 105. Get some traction, a converter, and make sure your tune is right.

I think your right in your concern as a bonestock Z28 can trap that and more I'm sure. Does the car feel like something's wrong?

Somethings way off, you should be at least in the 12s somewhere, at least mid 12s & 110-112 traps even with manifolds. Youre 60' times are a lil high, get them down under 2.0 & you'll run 12s. I cant see the chrome ZR1s hurting you that bad, I got the same wheels & I run low 12s & trap 113 with a slightly bigger cam & LTs. A stall converter would really help you, & did you have any kind of tune put on the car other than change the shift points? Youre puttin down more hp & tq than I did before my cam install & I still trapped 110 back then. You say it shakes up top, maybe you got a bad plug or wire & losing power there.

most definetly not the wheels causing the issue, highly doubt the tranny is just slipping up top. like said before, was it dyno tuned after the parts were installed? i think a covertor would wake the car up tons. you should def be at least 110 i would think. sounds more like a tuning issue to me

A converter shouldn't bring his trap up much if at all.. Especially not 5 mph.. It would greatly reduce the ET on the other hand though.

The problem is elsewhere.

I would look at the tune and then the exhaust.. For the ET, nothing will drop your ET like a converter.

if u say the car is shaking up in the rpms you could have a misfire, i had a cracked spark plug on my car, it took 4ever just to find the problem, it can also be a weak coil or clogged injector

are you hitting the rev limiter? i realize you're letting the tranny shift itself, but what rpm are you noticing it shift at?
rick at synergy knows his stuff, but you may want to call them up and mention whats going on. did he tune for your whole current setup including the cam?
