how does this setup sound?
how does this setup sound? This is going in my 91 TA, I was going to post in the conversions section but I think it's more of a newbie question. I'm looking for a somewhat fast daily driver, here is what I have so far:
04 5.3 longblock
4L60e fbody
LS6 intake
00+ fbody exhaust manifolds and custom y pipe
fbody accessories + UD pulley + 01 harness and pcm
I want to use either an LS6 cam and springs combo, or ZZP 1.9 rockers. LS6 cam and yellow springs would probably run me about 250-300? ZZP rockers are 340 new and they claim 18 whp without changing springs:

I was also thinking of getting some used 243 heads. They would come with the yellow springs but would be 500+. Would these be pointless if I am not going to run headers?

I would change the springs either way, but thats just me. Also, I would get a cam with more duration than the ls6. i went back and forth on getting that one too, but i ddint want to have to put a bigger one in later.
