Windshield Wipers HELP!!!!!
Took my 2001 SS to get a new windshield, Problem is when they put the wipers on there kind of off set meaning, my passenger wiper comes to the center of my drivers side window and the drivers side wiper comes half way off the windshield. Question is how hard is this to adjust, because i unscrewed the bolts at the bottom of the wiper arms and the wipers would not move. HELP AND THANKS FOR THE FEED BACK
You need a puller, as on Fbodies for some reason are tight as ****. BUT IMO the people who did the work should fix it since you CAN crack a windsheild if you do it wrong. I would be putting a phone call in. OTHERWISE go to your local auto parts store and get some thing that can pull it off, gripping the edges and something in the middle that will press on the stud to draw it off.
In the resting position, there should be no issues with alignment.

My wipers were tight when i took them of because of the conical shape of the stud it sits on and overtightening of the bolts but with a little twisting and tugging the wiper arms should come right off.
It does work but you run the risk.

Go back to the windshield place they will fix in in 5 minutes. Do not try to take it off yourself. I have a 98 Camaro and The wiper arm won"t budge wd40 and prying with a angled screwdriver. No luck. I bought a wiper puller for $15.00 from advanced auto. I didn't use it yet but looks really simple. I'm terrified of cracking my windshield like I did the one at the junk yard. Pepboys had no idea what i was talking about. auto zone had no idea. Advanced auto, jackpot. John
This is warranty job for the windsheild guy.
I don't know what's the problem with that profession.
Every time I get a windseild put in, something's worse than it was before. It's either wiper alignment or leaks or mess or whistling wind noise or broken trim. And it's always a different putz.
If your too scared to go back, a battery terminal puller will get the arm off.
