Handling Just curious: How does the F-body handle in incliment weather?
I have a Mustang GT, with traction control. Last Friday it snowed here in Brooklyn. Before the snow came down heavily (around 11:00 A.M.), I drove to the grocery store. On the way back home, the snow started coming down heavily and I had almost no traction at all. My car was slipping and slidding all over the place. At one point, I was really nervous because while making a left turn into an intersection, my car spent around. I wasn't going faster than 10 MPH. I assumed that with traction control, this wouldn't have happened. Now since the F-body has a lot more power than a GT, how does it handle? Or do most of you guys lock yours up for the winter?

The F-bodies have pretty bad manners in the snow and ice on summer performance tires but the secret is installing a tire like Bridgestone Blizzak ws50 for your winter driving. I personally park mine as the salt used on the roads out here is bad and I also don't have to be at the mercy of others people skidding and slidding around but a co-worker drives his year round.

hey man, i just purchased a 98 z and traded in my 95 gt vert. I absolutely love this z. best change i've ever made. alot more hp, i enjoy a sleeker look myself (a friend of mine that owns a stang put it best...they are all dick no *****) but these ls1's omg cargasmic dude. get some of those blizzarks, i put them on my stock 16X8 wheels, handles well in teh snow, not great but well for minimal accumulations. and they come with ASR...gms' traction lock thingie, not quite sure how it works yet but dammit it works! hehehe, and for the summer you can turn that beyotch off!
