question i purchased a 01 SS with 24,000 on the clock....it has an LS1 motorsports air box on it put on by the previous owner...now...for the tube that leads to the secondary air pump...he plugged it up with a nylon....now..i was gonna use an valve cover breather but dont know what diameter to use...could someone tell me what size?

I'm not sure thats the way to go.
I hope someone else will back this up but I think you don't want to open up an intentionally sealed system with a valve cover breather. ie. unmetered air, MAF isn't registering it...

If it was plugged, there is a slight possibility he may have damaged/overheated the pump - yea it's the AIR pump, and it only runs at cold start - do get some type of filter (almost any auto parts store have them - I THINK it's a 1/2 " diameter inlet), and when it's back to open and flowing, listen and make sure there is no unusual noise from the pump.

the pump was just replaced...the machanic at the dealer(was ALLL under warranty) said the pump was filled with water..it wasn't plugged he had a rag over it pulled tright then clamped...1/2 diamter...thanks...1 1/4 i know is to big already tried that
