I'd like to find out too. I'm really pissed cause I bought my car in Aug 2003(it's a 2000 Z28) but it was purchased in June 2001. The previous owner bought the extended warranty and he said he would transfer it to me. Well, he had like 30 days to transfer it, and still hasn't done so. So I called GMPP and asked about the warranty that the previous owner had, and they said they couldn't talk to me since I was not the owner of the extended warranty. What kind of crap is that? Now they get to keep the $1000 or so dollars and don't have to perform any services? Anyone know what I can do?

GM extended warranties can cost from $500-$1000, it just depends what kind of coverage you get and whether or not you want a deductible or not. If you are wanting to go with an extended i would recomend GMPP's top plan, it is basically just an extended version of everything the factory warranty covers, besides usually body-interior componets.

Figured it's worth it for the electrical parts and they are going to recover my driver side Leather seat this spring.
