I think going to an auto is stupid.....but.....If I did I would definately go with a 400. There are plenty of conversion kits. Keep it simple!

Financially it isn't stupid. Think about it a t56 is what? 800 bucks? I got tranny and everything i needed to bolt the tranny in the car shifter, consoles EVERYTING for 400 bucks with trade of what i could give. Including trading wiring harnesses. so no. it's not very stupid.

i think manual is stupid.everybody has his own taste i hate rowing gears through traffic all the time too so keep your opinions to yourself go auto i did and i love it get u a stall an outrun them 6 speeds all day.u can just get your pcm reflashed u dont have to get another one u didnt even need a auto wiring harness i got my m6 harness on my auto 4l60e there is a company called lsx tune that makes the conversion harness to the pcm for guys wanting to go auto 99 bucks its not that hard dont let no one deter u 6 speeds sucks.

Again, lets leave the auto vs manual battle out of this thread.

Also, if I see any more posts calling the OP stupid for wanting an A4, I'm just going to delete your post, so don't waste your time writing it.

Then you won't need alot of the Electronics..there are a few things you will have to still wire up.

700R4 uses a T.V. cable for line pressure control (not vacuum controlled like the TH350/400), so just keep in mind you'll need to run that cable.

Then again, maybe someone makes a kit to convert a 700 to vacuum modulation?

Ok..you are going to have to get a wiring diagram for it and run the wires..hopefully someone here has one..I don't cause I've never had to do it.
