Default SS Hood help

Just had an SLP flopac and lid fitted, I want to get an SS Style hood, but would it be pointless to have a functional one with the flopac? Plus i'm worried the fibreglass ones wont look that good? Perhaps i should just get a serarate SS Scoop fitted to the existing bonnet? Don't like the idea of the scoop, I hate fitting things which do nothing, but really want the SS Look
Thanks

SS hood is more or less functionless. Its mostly for looks IMO. The air has to make two 180 turns before reaching the lid. Not optimal in any way shape or form. But pretty

I got the Flo Pac on my NON WS.6 and since then upgraded to a WS.9 Hood and still run the Flow Pac. I would have to look for a set up that has been around were it directly funnels the air from the snorkels in the hood and supposedly made good power over a stock set up.

Until I find it again, I am leaving the Flo Pack in Place.

don't tell me you're gonna get one of those stick-on fake hood scoops

either go for the fiberglass hood and do it as an appearance mod only...or leave the stock one on there.

I think he means the scoops like the flo pac, a sheet metal duct that draws from the bottom of the car.

I'm ashamed to say Teke is right haha, If its done professionally will it not look the same? I'm in the UK so a steel hood would cost about $400 to ship i'd guess, Are the fibreglass ones good? Can you get non GM Steel ones?

Just buy a Fiberglass like Harwood or VFN.

GM's hoods are a hybrid, it has Fiberglass and steel under framing.

Beleive me do not be a hack.
