I bought a 01 "stage 3" SLP M6 yesterday because it was screaming cheap and dynoed at 408 rwhp.
I LOVE driving this car!
Where can I find SLP info?
I searched and just get all the for sale SLP stuff.
This car has has "stage 3" badges on the side. How do I tell if this is a real stage 3 car, and what the stage 3 came with?

I would love to find out what the bottom end is made of to establish shift point and nos jet sizes.
All the info I was given about the mods is in my sig.

slponline.com should have some info on the stage 3 package....not sure if yours is, since it has kooks headers and a cam...seems like an SLP with some extras. Not necessarily a bad thing.

Now that I think of it...sounds like a nicely setup car with someone who just wanted a flashy badge.

Only thing SLP did was add their exhaust, air intake system and some badges of theirs on a few SS and Ws6 models. Now if you are talking about GMMG, then yes, they DO have stages but are NOT cheap cars by any means.

Its like telling people you have a camaro SS after you put an SS spoiler, hood and badges on it. Really, in the back on your head, you know, its no REAL SS...but hey, everyone has their own way of doin it.

 

It's just a badge. There are actual packages with said stage numbers, but all they are is SLP stuff. Stage 1 being cold air and stage 3 being cold air kit, slp headers and catback and a few other misc things. But when it really comes down to it. It's a badge and nothing more, nothing less.

 

That's why we all turn to the aftermarket to get the best prices and more stuff. SLP is cool by all means but some of their stuff it's just so freakin high when you can get it other places for alot cheaper.
