... for $850
This motor runs well with no smoke or oil leaks but has a ticking sound. Since gaskets, new bolts and other parts are so high, exploratory surgery is out of the question for me. Since I bought it, I found what I was really looking for and want to sell this so I can focus my attention on the other engine. I was thinking of parting it out but I don't have the time or space right now. It's basically complete from intake to oil pan with the following exceptions, which are mostly parts from other engines I used to complete it enough to run.
Complete engine less:
PCM (computer) & harness
Starter & bolts
Flexplate & bolts
Motor mounts & bolts
Water pump & bolts
Throttle body & bolts
Exhaust manifolds & bolts
Oil filler tube & cap
Coil packs/harness/mounting bolts, plug wires & spark plugs
Crank pulley
Steam/vapor tube & block offs (not for this motor any way)
Aftermarket oil & temp. senders (for run stand)
EGR plug (just a rubber 1 3/8" freeze plug blocking EGR port on intake)
Oil pressure sending unit (robbed from another motor to test)
I may have forgotten something so this list isn't definitive but, I think I covered everything.
Casting numbers:
Block: 12559378
Heads: 853 (same as 241)
Oil Pan: 12561829/2019 (Corvette batwing,top/bottom)
2Y2125397: laser etched block identification (01 Pontiac)
Cam: 12560965 (198/209 .500/.500 119.5)
A stock Trans Am LS1 cam is a 12561721 (0.479 0.467 207 196 116 117/115) so as you can see, this cam is higher performance than stock...
didn't know where to post this so i posted it here
