My car with full bolt ons and the crappy 2.73's will light up the stock 245's at pretty much any speed in first gear. Keepin it in low at 15-20 the car will lose it up till 50 from a 30-35 drop into first or kickdown itll spin into 2nd.... Not happy about it cuz I'd like traction in first to run a good time lca relocation bracketss and a stall are in the future...

This is the opposite of pretty much everyone's goal. I don't understand this thread at all.

No kidding...

My goal is NOT to spin on the street in any gear.... It's amazing how your priorities change once the car gets fast.... Spinning from a 50-60 roll is NOT fun

If you want to hit the rev limiter in an A4 then beat the hell out of the car, when it taps the rev limiter it usually means your auto is about to die. This thread is absolutely worthless, how old are you OP?

I actually apologize for my first post, I hope you dont go ruin your car doing what I said. Just frustrated anyone would make this an ambition in these cars.

I would get some nice 245-315 width tires and practice launching and NOT spinning. As someone else said, spinning aint winning. If you want a smoke show an M6 is much easier to do that, but again not good for the car or your wallet. Hook the tires and go!

So many factors go into spinning the tires. Compound, ware, raod conditions, tire width...etc. Just be smart and safe with the car.

I fail for being a part of this thread, but a Stall will accomplish this. I've got a Vig 3200 and 323 gears. With stock tires, I can't keep traction in 1st.

do not, do not, do not, do not rev your engine in neutral, then put it in gear.

I've always put it all the way into 1st on the shifter and pop it up to 3rd when it needs to shift into 2nd at the track. Some people will agree/disagree with this. I don't really care. It's a stock transmission with 93K on it.

I believe the join date tells a lot.. This is the exact reason I have contemplated moving up to a Vette, fbodies are too cheap now.

I surely don't want to do this when racing, but I don't know if I would say it isn't fun.

Lol You think that just cuz your car burns out at a 30 people are going to say Wow!!! Thats a fast car!!...Nope what is the point of doing this? You want traction so you can hook and win. I feel sorry for you and your car. Asking this question is like a pilot asking if he can higher the landing gear right before he is about to land on the runway...

We all learn some how. . . . . .

Sometimes it's the hard way. . . . .

Order one of these you will be spinning tires in no time. . . . Can't beat the price either. . .
