Default LSX parts interchangeability

I'm currently buying up parts for an lq9 based 408. From what i understand, you can pretty much use any lsx part with these blocks. Is this true?

for instance can i use an ls1 cam, ls6 heads, and ls1 sensors?

Yep. All that will move over to the new block. If you are putting it in with F-body accessories, you will need to drill and tap one hole for the alternator. Other than that, it will go right in!

thanks for the help.

the only other question i have pertain to electronics. Im going with a 24 tooth crank reluctor wheel and im curious as to what sensors i can/should use. Can i use ls1 sensors for the motor if im using a stand alone ecu? or will i have to go to the junk yard and find a 6 liter vortec motor and grab the sensors?
