P.S Forgot to add my mod r undp ,ported 80mm tb, full factory exhaust,****** tune ,3.42 gear , ls6 motor I run 12.49 1/4 @112

What year ls6 cam is it??
If its a 2002 and up ls6 cam its in the 550 range for lift on intake and exhaust, so how is that going to have minimal gains over a stock ls1 cam which is in the 490 lift range?? That makes no sense to me unless its the older ls6 cam which is 525 lift.
I say if your not looking for a strip car and you want a car that is basically stock i would stick with the ls6 cam and heads. You already have the cam and the springs on the heads to match it you might as well save your money and just throw this combo in your car but thats just my opinion. Or you could go spend another $500 or more on another cam with springs and pushrods to see maybe another 20hp and thats maybe 20hp. If you dont believe me search some dyno numbers out with 224, 228 or 232 cams with ls6 heads. They dont put to much more power down then the ls6 cam
My buddy has ls6 heads and cam in his car and he put down 395 to the wheels with full exhaust. The car runs and drives completely stock. You would never know that he had this setup in his car. The car pulls great over all rpm range.

I have this set up and am happy with its gains. Im not looking for crazy power yet and I got the heads and cam from a Z06 local for $300
My set-up at time of dynotune 358/358
1998 Trans Am A4 3.23, lid w/k&n, pacesetter lts, ory, slp lm1, 243s, LS6 cam.
This was with a stock LS1 intake and throttle body. Oh, and this cam was from a 01 Z06. I have since added a BBK SSEI intake and 85mm throttle body.
My tuner said I was leaving a lot on the table having that restrictive stock intake and tb. Im hoping to have a pretty good gain with the new set-up.

Some people dont want a loud lumpy car stinking like gas fumes, loud valve train noise....Ive been there many times and it gets old.
I think the LS6 heads/cam setup is great for some'one wanting to make 380rwhp on a budget & keep it sounding bone stock & driving like stock (until you jump on it).
Im considering doing a set of CNC ported 241 heads & the LS6 cam. No'one would ever know it had anything done to it and it should make 400rwhp.

were only talking about how you can at least get a cam closer to the LS7 and you'll be much happier

bro the difference between getting a good cam and the crappy ls6 cam is like 15% of the total cost of a head cam swap. you think your gonna get over 340rwhp, good luck, get a good cam and it'll drive and idle like stock and you'll be at 400rwhp.
