No. LS6 intake is the only ls6 part stock on all 01-02's. A *few* 01's and like 25% of 02's came with an ls6 block, but other than the bay windows there's no real difference (read: Ls6 block itself doesn't make more power, at all...) but no f-bodies came stock with the ls6 heads (243) or ls6 cam.
However to answer the question you tried to answer, yes... it is a direct bolt on

But of course the most important reason is that I found the tag "QWIK LS6" was available.

You can get a GMPP crate '04 LS6 for about $5700 and a new LS1 is about $5400 (just find the cheapest dealer semi-close to you on the GMPP dealer list, and they'll still probably need to order it; it only takes a couple of days). You can also find rebuilt long blocks for about $4000.
The 04 LS6 comes absolutely complete with the newer fly-by-wire TB and vette Z06 clutch assembly. Anyone want a never-used Z06 clutch and flywheel? I'm rebuilding my McLeod and resurfacing the flywheel.

No, sorry, Labor Not Included...
But that's why I opted for a crate motor while I rebuild the LS1. If I wanted it rebuilt right away, I'd have to pay someone to rebuild it, and the labor + parts was more than the crate motor.

Good thread I'll say. Funny at the beginning. So it's a direct swap I see.
My LS1 has 11K on it. I thought about doing this same conversion after reading the new GMPP catalog that arrived yesterday. Crate motor deluxe!
While my SS is scary enough, I can only imagine what newfound power GMPP will unleash next time around. Just a newbie with a new GMPP catalog lol.

Seriously, it's worth offering. The labor cost range could be more than the cost of the motor, depending on who you have do it. Don't leap at the first offer to do it for $1000 or less, until you find out if he knows what he's doing.

Heck even less, rebuilt bottom end and some used 243's and ls6 intake/cam you would have plenty left over.
Even though its your DD, you said you could easily drive the hybrid around. I mean if you have the money im all for it, just seems a little wastful lol
Goodluck with the swap!

Seeing that you're from TX, the state with the highest F-Body to population ratio lol, you might be able to find a good ol' boy who'll do the swap for some or all of your LS1 when it goes...
