Default so i bought an ls6 intake manifold...

from a 2002 camaro off some guy a while back, and it had a throttle body still attached to it. i want to have my throttle body ported, so i figured id just get this extra one ported so i could just swap it in when i put in the manifold. didnt really look at it too closely at first, but today i discovered that there is something broken on the bottom of it

i can see where the broken pieces would connect by lookin at the tb thats in my car rite now. but my question is is this tb screwed? and what exactly are those little metal tubes hookin up to?

that tube is for the coolant hose going from the TB to the top of the radiator. the tube on the right/upper side of the TB goes to the coolant crossover pipe between the DS and PS heads.

It looks like you can still run a hose from it. However, what a lot of people do is run a straight hose from the coolant crossover pipe to the radiator, thus bypassing the TB coolant passages. (coolant goes thru TB, water heats up air, less power, etc). bottom line, it can work

you could run a hose on the left side but the other side looks snapped completely off... just do the throttle body bypass and you will have nothing to worry about

I agree with the above posts.

When you perform the Throttle Body Coolant Bypass Mod these lines on the TB become unnecessary.

The TB looks to be fine otherwise. I'm sure it'll be a great candidate to be ported and polished.
