Looking for some opinions on what to do and what to buy. + have a chance to pick up a forged ls1 right now with 10,000 miles for a pretty good price. The question is should I buy this and get my car ready to go before summer.... Or if I wait till the end of july my saving will have more than doubled and I can get a bigger motor say 408 or something but then will have to buy heads ect btw the forged ls1 comes with heads and the guy only wants 2400 shipped .... what would u do?

If I had the money laying around, I would go with the brand spanking new 408 but if money is a issue. Go with the forged 347. It only has 10k miles on it and will produce gobs of power for many more miles

ya man money is a issue in a way I will prolly just get the 347 and put a nice set of heads on it to accompany its g5x3 cam thanks for ur opinion seems like ur the only one who will give it

I would save my $$$ and go big later. That way you won't be saying 6 months from now when that 347 feels tame " I wish I waited and just done the 408"..... And trust me.... at some point that 347 will feel tame to you....
