RPM's question.
This is my first post and I have always had this with my car since I bought it 6 months ago. When I rev it in neutral it takes about 5 seconds to get back down to idle speed after I let off the pedel. I have all the power and everything and when running it hard it is fine just takes a long time to get back down to idle rpms and sometimes doesn't go all the way down and sits at 1500 in neutral or when holding down the clutch. Is this common for an LS1 and if not any idea what is wrong????

yeah if i rev mine to about 3 grand it lumbers back down to idle speed not sure how long it takes .......and every once and a while......it will stick on 1200 or 1300 rpms.......never realy been an issue with me.....anybody else?

My saturn does it all the time but not my camaro. It drives me crazy, makes it look like i cant drive a stick because every time i push the clutch in the rpms are at 3k then drop all the way to 1700 making it jerke when i let the clutch out. It must be a sensor because i notice it alot more when its cold.

Yeah this happens to my car more when it is cold or when the A/C is on. I just want to know if this happens with more LS1's and if not then anybody has any idea how to fix it. My car runs really smooth and doesn't jerk between shifting this just makes me wonder when it jumps up and takes awhile to get down. My clutch should be ok. I did the 4th gear at 20 miles per hour test and it is just fine and my clutch doesn't slip either.
