The 2002 Z06 was the first year of the no screen MAF.
If you're putting a corvette style 85mm MAF on something that didn't have one on it to begin with, then it's gonna need to be tuned to be right anyway. At that point it doesn't really matter because the tuning will set you straight for the most part, screen or not.
