Default plug gap

ive got an 02 ws6 with 38k miles.
yes i know its early to do a plug change with the ac delcos being a 100k plug but im getting missfires ;( so i bought ngktr55s and was wondering wat to gap them at.

Mods-
Qtp cutout
Mti lid
slp exhaust
K & N filter
and soon to be lt headers, port polish throttle body, gears, tune

I believe .050, if memory serves me.......

I'd gap them around .055"

I have successfully run a .050, .055, and .060 with no issues with either of them.

They came at .055 but I believe GM now recommends a .045 gap.....

I think that's for the new style of plug that AC Delco produces for these motors (new as compared to what came stock in these motors).

If you're using an NGK TR55 though, the gap should be somewhere in the .050 to .060 range for best performance.

I have mine gapped at 45 I believe stock is either 50 or 55

Stock gap was .060 on the factory platinum plugs. Several years ago, GM released a new iridium plug for the LS1 that comes gapped at .040, and Gm does not recommend changing the gap on that specific plug.

The NGK TR55 plug comes gapped from NGK at .059.

Yeah, if you change the gap on those plugs you can actually ruin them due to the cone on the end (not sure what thats called). byt thanks for letting me know what stock gap is
