Default Spark Plug and Wire Installation Help!
I have a 2000 Camaro SS and wanted to change out the spark plugs and wires since they look pretty used up. I started to take the spark plugs out along with their wire one by one and replacing them as i went along. I got stuck in these two rear ones on the passengers side. Is there any easy way to get to these? My hands aren't exactly that skinny and got tired of getting cut.

If you can get the car in the air, try that and go at them from the bottom.

The passenger rear #8 I did from underneath using a set of ramps, still a bit fun with the exhaust and headshield in the way, but it came out easy. The one in front of it, I got from up top, I had taken off the air tube, and shifted the coil packs up out of the way.

Isn't there something you can do about moving the coil pack(s) and/or rails out of the way? It's been a while since I've done mine but check that out...

This is also what I do. Except my arm is skinny enough to only do the air tube but with that and the damn spiked coil bolts off its a lot less annoying and there will be a lot less cuss words spoke too . You are def gonna have to get the last one on the pass side from under the car though and fyi its gonna have to be done blind so be careful what your yankin on. Good luck.... P.S. make sure the wires click twice when reinstalling them.

there is a custom made socket for our spark plugs just for the rear ones its shorter

I took the coil packs off and did it from the top. This will not be a yearly "to do thing," maybe every other year.

Just take the coil packs off, jack the car up and put it on stands, stand next to the car if you can reach, if not take the car off stands and just stand in the engine bay where the hood latch is, looks crazy and dumb but it works and is easy to reach the rear. You'll have it done in 5 minutes...

I take my coil packs off. If your coil packs have never been off the back bolt on the passanger side is a PITA.

Ive replaced mine so many times I dont even pay attention to it. Delete emissions and unbolt the coil packs. Simple
