Default Whisper Lid for 00-02 LS1

I just bought a whisper lid for my car, and while installing it I noticed that there was no port on the lid for the vacuum hose that was in the stock lid. I was wondering if anyone knows what this hose is? Does it have a sensor on it? It is the hose that wraps around the driver side of the engine bay. I was wondering what I should do, ie: cut the hose or poke a hole into the lid to fit the tube. Thanks for any help in advance.

Thats a breather hose. It goes to your air pump, it started in the 2000 model.
Just go and get you a 3/4" male breater filter. Put it on and zip tie it away from the belts somewhere.

Peace,
Craig.

You can get little K&N filters at Autozone that will fit on it. I think they were around $15. How does your Whisper lid fit? Mine is such a POS, ordering a TSP lid soon.

Thanks for the help. Would that explain why I threw an SES light a night ago, when I covered it with some duct tape?

It is a tight squeeze, with a Holley Powershot filter, but it isnt bad. The TSP is nice though good luck with that I have a friend who put it on his Z and it is a beautiful fit and nice lid.
