you won't pick up 32 hp from it, and i really find that a hard claim by them. (unless the superchips programer you installing comes with the vortech supercharger kit)
the superchips programmer, and hpp3, are good for "concrete" changes, speedo, gears, fans, ect,
*unless you have access to get the superchips programmer custom tuned, which can be done, but i don't know of this being done commercially by anybody at this time*
don't buy either for "horsepower increase"
the predator is alright, as it can be custom tuned to your needs, but the superchips (in box tune) and hpp3, are worthless when it comes to power tuning and free horsepower.

just save up for ls1edit (get some friends to pitch in) or wait till the new (couple) of editors come out and get a laptop on the low-low.
I mean geebus a new 1600mhz laptop might bust your bank at $680 (techbargains.com/slickdeals.net) but you can find great nice old p3 laptops for like $200 these days. just find a used one with a nice battery
or buy an inverter (best choice).
Don't forget an LM-1 with RPM pickup for some nifty wideband tuning on the road

" new (couple) of editors" hmmm.... have you any more specifics???????
What they called "tune-in-a can" (preprogrammed tunes) are about as useful as the OEM tune. Even Predator, with it's individual tunes is still technically "canned" as you really can't "tune on the fly, or dyno, or whatever" - it needs to be SENT somewhere to be tuned.
Now if you have a PhD, and know the details of EFI management systems, LS1EDIT is a possibility, but you can also melt a piston or invest in a pile of scrap metal if you are not careful. Many LS1EDIT users are skirting danger and def affecting reliability (and safety) in their tunes with settings outside the design margins ofthe LS1 powertrain!!!
First identify need and priority - power, ""bling bling"", efficiency, longevity, economy, low end torque, etc. Next, realize that the OEM tune is PDG for a stock setup. you can "eek" maybe out a few more HP and FP, but you are already taxing the rear end with 300 HP!
If you plan to modify (cam, "noss", heads, turbo, etc) then a tune is MANDATORY, and needs to be done SPECIFICALLY to your vehicle AND YOUR NEEDS (see above).
There are a few experts with LS1 EDIT and the like, and MANY "wannabees". YOU need to know what YOU want first, than see what they can offer. Don't be baffeled by big words or low prices. Educate yourself and don't be intimidated - ask questions, get (educated) references (not some ricerboi with connestoga wagon wheels and a carry handle on the trunk who says "this tune rocks, man..."!). Get a warranty and an upgrade policy, so you are not LOCKED into a tune if you change needs, cam, or want to go back to OEM.
A lot to think about, but it's not 1965 anymore. From a "tune" standpoint, the PCM is as important an issue as the engine! It's gotta be done as an integrated unit and done correctly the first time!
