Default High Oil Pressure?

Ok so i just did an oil change and im wondering, is my oil pressure too high?

At idle, it runs about 45psi
On a hard heavy run, it can touch just below the 80psi... makes me worry, and i haven't let it go above 3500rpm since

I used Mobile1 High Mileage full synthetic 10w40
Wix Oil filter

Also getting a p300 and p420 code, no smoke out rear, stutters randomly on idle then goes away. Engine temp stays steady at 210 with 85-100*F weather outside.

(Been having problems with rust in lines which has caused it to burn lean alot in past, gonna clean injectors again once engine cools down)

My 02 WS6 is just about the same...tad lower. I actually posted this same thread after I first got the car. From what I gathered from others feedback and from two well knowledgeable local builders, it was normal. Others stated theirs were right about there as well. I've put many of miles on mine w/ no issues.

So i don't have to worry about some line popping open or something failing horribly?

Nope mines doing the same thing right now cause I just did an oil change Friday. The oil just needs some break in time. It will even itself out over the next few days.

add and extra quart of oil so you won't suck that pan dry.

I would change where you buy gas and run some fuel system drier and change the fuel filter a few times. I wouldn't worry bout the oil system though. I wouldn't add a quart unless you were droppin pressure at high rpm or when throwing it in the twisties.
