Default ls1 383?

any one running a 383 stroker kit for the ls1 from texas speed? was wondering how they liked it for what they got and how the performance end of it was? what else did u have to do to get to get it complete put toghter and go kit, and can u run pump gas on it if u choose the lower CC pistons?

I was thinking on building 1.i was going to do ls-6 cnc heads w/ 10:75 to 1 compresion w/a 228-598 cam and it would make a little over 500 hp @ the crank.

If you decide to "stroke it" look at the Callies stuff. Still affordable but most will tell you it is a little nicer than Eagle or Scat.

Also might wanna consider an assembled shortblock. After you consider machining the cost difference is not much.... 383's go for $3500 +/- and you can get $300- $400 for your old block....

ya if i do do the 383 kit it will be further down the line, thinkin of scoopin up this full ls1 block for $500 in my area and slowy building it in my garage as money gets better then when its time swap over the heads ill probably be puttin on my current motor in about a week and then throw the 383 in, if not just save a bit more and throw some other heads on there depending on research, but what ever i get has to be able to take pump gas : \

ive also considered doing a 383 and having TSP build it. would also like to hear from others who are running a TSP 383 as well.
