Doing a cam and intake swap and I'm curious to know who has the C5-R timing set for the least expensive and what you all suggest injector wise to go with? It's a bolt on, Fast 90/90, cam only car.

you don't really NEED a c5-r chain lol.. an LS2 chain would be fine for you bro.. as for injectors I got FAST 36lb'ers and they are good to go.. I have always wanted to try Jeremy Formato's injectors on the board here though.. they are flow matched and he's claiming they are great for tuning with good spray patterns.. might want to look into them.

 

C5 Rs are out of stock everywhere (katech, jegs lingenfelter), the LS2 would be a good bet. As far as injectors SVO redtops minimum, greentops maximum. 2 friends run cam only LS1s using the greentops with no issues, 1 runs redtops

 

I just got more C5-R chains in stock today. They are on sale through the end of the month.

 

So is the LS2 chain as strong and durable as the C5-R? Almost all the local guys in my area along with well known builders have mentioned the C5-R is the way to go. Why not do it since I will be in there and get it done as stout as possible the first time? Is the C5 way overkill?
