I think that is a decent buy. The adjustable borla system is pretty nice because of the adjustability. It does get kind of loud when wide open but some people like that. With the wide open plate you can expect to pick up some decent power as well.

Yeah for $300 I would go with the Borla and ditch the cats for a little better sound. If you do decide to ditch the cats be advised that the SES light will stay on until you have them tuned out with a hand held programmer or a mail order tune. GL

That's how I'd go - help open things up, add some power, and get some great sound.

Definitely a good buy, even if it isn't the adjustable one. As long as it's in decent shape I'd say go for it!

Yeah that sounds like a great deal. I have the adjustable system on my car, wide open plate. Thats what it had when I got it, and I don't have any other plates. Its not extremely loud or anything. A cutout is way, way, louder.

The deep sound of Borla & LT1s were meant for each other. If its in good shape, get it while you can cause thats a great price!

That is a good deal bro, those things are expensive as catbacks go. I would like one, but you will get a little jump in power. There is nothing wrong with a catback for a first mod, congrats on your first mod if you got it

not a bad find i prolly would have pulled the trigger too, although for weight savings I would take a sledge to those tips. ugly.

...you'll need a lid to complement your catback. I suggest MTI.

Good deal, I'd jump on it!

For another cheap, effective mod, pick up a ported Throttle Body. I just installed one on my car, it really did make a difference. Throttle response is much better off idle, and the car feels like it pulls better off the line. Best 50 bucks I ever spent.

I bought it from a member here that does them, WS6nJAX. He goes by Photz6 on ebay. Great guy to deal with, and great work.

I feel like this really woke the car up, I can't wait to get it to the track to see if it helps there, even if it doesn't the throttle response is well worth the money.
