Default Where do you guys set your plug gap?

After I purchased my 99SS a few months ago, I found that the original owner had never changed the plugs. Since I ran tr55s in my lt1, I thought I would do the same with the ls1. After checking the owners manual, I found that the factory plugs were supposed to be gapped at .060. It seems like that is too wide of a gap but I decided to set the new plugs like the manual suggested. The tr55s came gapped at .050 so I just had to make some minor adjustments. My questions is, after going through a lot of posts, I can't seem to find many folks who set their plugs like the factory suggests. Most folks seem to like .050. How will the wider gap hurt my performance? Should I redo mine?

I run .050 but then again I don't have your mph. I say the wider the gap the better for performance due to the hotter spark. If your car doesn't miss fire then you are fine at WOT. JMO Fact is if your burning all the fuel at .050 why go to .060, just means you will have to change your plugs quicker as the gap expands
