A ram air system has been proven over and over that it is a worthwhile mod. I did my own track testing last weekend to prove this. I had 6 runs that averaged 12.33@108.5 with no lower scoop on my SSRA (essentially the same as the SLP). Just adding the lower scoop, I gained almost 3mph. Average on the final 3 runs were 12.28@111.0.

I was curious if you looked up the da between runs? Not saying I dont believe you, just curious to hear if some of those gains were attributed to better air... 3 mph seems like alot.

it would be funny to pull the old 2003 posts with the ws6 haters saying how ram air doesnt 1hp until like 150mph even if you sealed the hood to box. even if its 5 hp, its something.
and now this guy is saying he picked up 30hp in his 1/4 mile run. more effective setup of course but gotta make you think factory ramair must do a little, especially with the bigger lower box.

I never felt the gains from the slp cai either, but thats whats nice about a g-tech... you can actually verify gains from mods you do!! That way you don't have to rely on your butt dyno lol. with just the slp lid my best was 12.78 @ 117.4... All I did was add the slp cai tube and went back out and ran 12.61 @ 118.4. I know the mph is high, thats not the point... point is it verified a gain from the mod! I bought the lower extension from ftra to make it ram air, but I dont like how it blocks so much of the radiator... so I only run the top part (slp cai) on the street.
I was actually looking for more of a mpg gain with the FTRA actually, and it didn't deliver on that one either.
As far as a ported TB, DEFINITELY worth the money. I installed one on my car last month, I noticed the difference right away. Better throttle response, and the car seems to pull better from a stop and at low rpms. Best 40 bucks I ever spent.
