i need a little advice I am currently a new ls1 owner. i have always had mustangs my whole life and i finally wanted something different. i have a 99 ws6 and was lookin into changin a couple things. i got a set of stock ls1 heads that are ported and polished with patriot springs for up to 650 lift cam. my question is if i were to throw those heads on and get trex cam with some headers if that would be suffice. i just was wondering if throwing those heads on would be a waste or if i would be able to tell a good difference in power. thanks guys.

the trex will need fly cutting on the pistons.you will need a 4000+ stall and good gears for it.you mite gain 80 hp with that combo,if the heads are ported right.get a custom cam that don't need fly cutting from Patrick-G.read alot more and go to the dyno section before you buy a cam.consider a torquer v2 cam.a big cam don't work unless the combination is perfect.
