Rough Idle When Cold! Hi I have a 2000 Camaro SS and I have noticed since about a year ago, anytime that it is cold enough (mostly november thru february) the car sometimes starts with a really horrible idle like it wants to turn off then accelerates by itself and just keeps that cycle on for a while. The lights and everything will dim and brighten along with how the idling of the car is behaving. Also when its doing this and I drive it and start slowing down at a stop light it starts idling really low and almost turns off. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
You need to confirm if the car has had ANY aftermarket tuning. Also IF you know stuff like a cam has been installed. I would definitly have it re-tuned to A) Determine it is safe and B) for Driveability.
IF confirmed stock, start with the basics like o2 sensors, clean the MAF, plugs/wires, fuel filter.

thanks i will look into that and ive tried those things except for the fuel filter which i bought but have no idea on how to install so never did... do u happen to know how or where i could find that out?
Buy a Chilton Manual, for 4th gen Fbodies at your local Autozone. Some LS1 specific books are sometimes there and has tons of info.
Before I forget, the fuel filter is located at the rear of the car on the driver side. I wanna say where the rear seats would be. Get some PB Blaster or some sort of rust penetrator just in case. De pressurize your fuel system by opening the gas cap and manually pushing the metal lid in so that you don't get a fuel explosion.
