Default Header Question

I am looking into choosing the right header for my 02 z28. I am on a budget so I am looking at the PaceSetter LT's and the Texas Speed LT's.

PaceSetter seems to only have 1" 3/4
TSP has only 1" 7/8

Dont know how true it is but I was told to get 1" 3/4 headers because 1" 7/8 are to big and I will lose tourque?

Header primaries are debatible. I have seen no siginifgant data to say on a stockish motor, whether there be a huge gain or loss with having a larger primary.

To me picking the right header with the best clearence and getting it stainless would me important. If/when you build that "race" car, most go right to 2" Primaries. So build for today, not the future.

1 7/8" is bigger than 1 3/4"...whoever told you the 1 3/4" were too big needs to go back to math class.

1 7/8" headers won't lose any power compared to 1 3/4". I'd say go with the larger primaries, as they give you more headroom for future mods.

Sorry, I put it up in the wrong order. fixing LOL.

I will go with the the 1 7/8-2inch range then for more growing room.
