I got my black 99 Z28 T-top with an auto and 93K on the clock with an SLP lid and K&N filter, billet grill along with a kenwood stereo halo headlights and tinted for 5,500 did i get a good deal or no? the car has the stock chrome 16's on it but the tires maybe have 5-10k left on them. Just wondering on your guys opinion and im new to the Fourm. Long Live the LS1!

Im in central Cali and it runs strong and fires right up, I had a 74 el camino with a 383 stroker that i build from the ground up and i ran it for a few months and just rebuilt the tranny so i could sell it... my first car but i got a deposit and bought the Z28 outright with my own money. the LS engines are new to but im gonna be reading alot off the forum and hopefully build up a nice GT killer for saturday nights.

The LS engines are awesome. Just do your research before any mods. People here will help a lot too. Good luck. Welcome to the LS world

Halo headlights are never a good deal. Those should be removed ASAP, then you'll have a nice car.

that does sound like a steal i live in chicago and bought mine for 5200 and have not seen a z or ta close to mine(mileage, condition) even close to that price, so its a steal . and my recomendation get an exhaust and headers next, let the car breathe!

I've seen a set or 2 look good, but it was car dependent. I'd have to agree with you otherwise.

Sounds like a good deal. Make sure you do some searches on what mods you want to do. With this site being around forever, chances are your question has been asked 10x over. Happy modding!

Bronx...those headlights look sharp. I don't know why people hate on the halos.

Alteeza/Euro clear headlights always look like cheap crap. The halos with the black background look really good on these cars though, not to mention they offer superior light output and allow you to convert to HIDs since they have projector low beam lenses.

Ha yeah I agree to a certain extent. Honestly, I would never go out of my way to buy Halos, especially for what they're priced at.. but since they came on my car, I've come to like them, so I'm not complaining!

im not really a big fan of Halos, though i wouldnt mind having them on my car. I honestly love the look of the stock headlights.. of course without it being all fogged up.

I'm not seeing whats so bad about the headlights...

I think they look much better than the boring stock ones.

Sorry guys, I just plain hate any sort of halo/aftermarket headlight. Only thing I can live with would be the Whistler mod on stock headlights. Otherwise, stock is the only option, IMO.

Most of the time I would agree, but for some reason it seems like that 35th was molested and doesn't look as good fromt that angle. I'm sure other pictures make it look much better

I do understand this line of thinking. I've bought cars before that already had mods I never would have picked myself, and sometimes those things have grown on me.....other times, I've had to pull that crap off as soon as I got the car home!

You don't need to build anything on that car to kill most GT's...
