Cut Out Yes Or No?
I just bolted on some kooks headers and a ORY pipe. I have a magnaflow 3" cut out and a SLP LM2 bullet muffler. Should I even use the cut out or just bolt the LM2 to the ORY pipe?

**** i loved my cutout, always nice when someone calls you out and you open the cutout up and they give you the oh **** face when you burnout and your car is twice as loud as it was when they called you out.

what do you have for mods or plan on for mods in the future...if you are going to stay stock i would say no you won't gain much through a cutout. but if you start modding cams heads intakes ect you will be leaving power on the table. I have the LM on my car but with current build i will be leaving 15-20 horse on the table easily.
Sure i loved the sound of my LM when i first got it but after a cam i started getting a lot of drone and rasp which is annoying for me.
If it was me i would use the cutouts and put muffler in that thing or you can do it later after you're tired of the noise and tickets. Or best solution would be to go get a real true duel setup pref over the axle but if you already have the parts then it's too late for that

^^x3! i like my cutout but then again i have a flowmaster catback(quiet). If you do put it on look into getting an electric cutout (i've got a a summit brand) and you can go from zero to hero with the flip of a switch.

it depends on how u set ur cutout/s up too, i have mine from headers to dual cutouts to ORY, just cut out the right length of the ory that the cutouts were and took to exhaust shop had them weld it up and stuck it all on, i have headers to ory to borla 3inch all the way and its straight pipe pretty much, when i open the cutouts its almost 5-10 times louder and the whole car shakes at idle, so all depends on what ur doing and how its setup, before ORY makes a big diff then after ORY, mine are manual 3 wing nut style cutouts too, after about 10-15 uses of on for a while then off and back on spend $8 for 2 new 3inch collector gaskets and no leaks any more, i love my cut outs, had them open this weekend, makes ur car fun (er) to drive again if u get bored of the same old same old lol

You will always (I would think) get some type of performance with a CO over a CB system, plus the sound difference between the 2 are quite noticeable. If you already have it, you might as well use it
I was going to go with a True Dual Dump setup (before the axle), but there may be times when I want a little piece and quiet, and since I've got many of complements on my current exhaust (Flowmaster) I am going to keep it and just run a dual cut out for when it's time to get nasty

just my .2. don't bother with the cutout. concentrate more on a free flowing exhaust (sounds like you have). unless its electronic they are such a pain in the *** and if you ever trailer the car, you may have dragging issues. I didn't like mine so now they are gone
