Default Need help! ls1 Power Steering noise/Rattle?!

Hey guys. Got a 99 Camaro with a LS1, my power steering pump IS NOT whining. BUT the pulley attached to it is loose? When the car is off I can pull the pulley towards me and it shifts and makes a clicking sound. When the car is running it has a annoyying chatter. Not sure how to tighten? or does the whole thing need to be replaced. Any help would be great! Thanks

Hi,
i would remove pump and check it on work bench.
The pulley could shear and damage front of engine/fans/radiator/hoses/etc.
Autozone and oreilly have loaner tools. I would think a bad bearing is the issue..have a blessed day .........jim

ya pretty much have ot replace it, mine went bad on me but a week before it went out it chattered or sounded like engine knock, i think there only like $40? got mine at pepboys, get a pulley puller and its not that bad of a job, did it in about an hr, i have trans am but shouldn't be much diff but not 100% sure, takin the upper rad hose off makes it easier, but ya id just replace it and check pulley when u do, minus the noise they actually move about 1/16th or a tad more in and out just do, why idk but : \ cause my new one did it too but works great, just remember to bleed properly
