Default couple random questions

I currently own a 99 automatic trans am , well i bought another 99 automatic trans am today that have a couple of differences. First off im old trans am there is two cables running to my throttle body as on the one i bought today has only one. Wondering what that is about? Also the new one has a traction control button as my old one doesnt? Why?
Thanks for any comments.

Not sure about the cables, but traction control was an extra option.

Thats what i was thinking but wasn't sure. I thought the extra cable was for maybe cruise control but both have it.

As Stated traction control was an extra Option. And traction control has everything to do with it. If you where to follow the single TB cable back it should lead to the traction control which is located by the battery.

Two cables on the TB is a non-traction control car.

One cable on the TB is a traction control car.

As others have stated, traction control (TCS, Pontiac; ASR, Chevy) was an option (RPO NW9, ~$450).
