I have a 5.3 on the way, and I'm going to need a way to pick it up. I work at a machine shop and I have plenty of scrap metal around so I thought I would try to make my own.
Does anyone have any rough dimensions for a lift plate?
Thanks!

I was hoping to have one made before my engine shows up on the freight truck. I've got a forklift to get it in the back of a pickup to get it home but I need a plate to use my engine hoist to pull it from the pickup. I really don't want to take the thing apart at work to measure, there's all sorts of coolant and metal chips everywhere around here.
If I had a plate premade I could just load the engine into the pickup and slap the lift plate on as soon as I got home.
