Default breakin her in....

i have a brand spanking new ls1 that i have put togather... i was wondering what the best way to break it in would be???

Put a good tune in it, bring the oil up to temp and make some hard pulls. The rings will seat quickly this way. A good breakin oil with lots of zinc will help seat the rings too. These HR cams need no breakin like the old flat tappet cams do. I change the oil with good ol dino oil at 150 miles and get on a regular synth. schedule at 500..

Yeah, use dino oil. Whatever you do don't use synthetic for your break-in oil...

+1 on using oil with a high zinc amount. It really helps a new motor break in properly

I am sure there are others but off the top of my head Joe Gibbs, Comp and Royal Purple all make BI oil ....

lol def. did you use assembly lube when you assembled the motor? i know i always use lucas assembly lube and than do a high zinc break in oil also.
