Default Need help to decide... a TC or headers

A set of USED MAC headers and an Off Road Y pipe for 300 bucks then another 150$ for installation and about 50-60$ for the SIMS or should I just get a TCI 3200 converter?? On Thunderracing.com they're running for 470. I mean if they'd both knock off about the same time from my 1/4 then I can just wait on getting LTs later on. I've done research and lots of people will preach how much LTs are better than Macs and shorties. I just need some advice here.

Go for the TC first. I don't think you'll knock off .5 or .6 sec with just headers and ORY. .2 maybe.
I have that SSF 3500 and wow. Especialy with 3:73 rear. Don't forget to get a Trans cooler and shift kit.

There is nothing to think about. The converter is a better mod. Will do twice what any header will. And if you think Macs are a waste and do nothing then you dont know what your talking about, period.

Ok guys, Thanks a lot. But which TCI should I get?? I can only afford a TCI right now. Should I get the 3000 or the 3500?? I already had the Tranny Cooler installed about 2 months ago. Is the shift Kit a must??

3500rpm, and then you will want higher and higher, so start higher, it may be right for you. A shift kit isn't a must, but it will help for non sloshy shifts and what not. Click the tunning link in my sig, and get a chip from him. He can make you one that will make you smack yourself in the face for not having it before. I did!! Well, all I can say is you will find yourself embarassing alot of M6s from a stop, when you cut half second quicker ets with less mods. Just be prepaired for lower HP/TQ to the wheels, but launching at double the peak in some cases. Anyone add,or correct me if I am wrong.

The TCI SSF 3500 is a very good street converter...sometime in the future I will probally switch to a PT 4200...I would go ahead and invest the money to get the shift kit/tranny cooler. Converter is hands down the best mod you can do to an A4. Headers should be your next mod or a good set of Tires. Good Luck
