changing spark plugs
I changed the driver side spark plugs and wires with no problem. I get to the passenger side and im like wtf! Any advice on how to go about changing the plugs and wires? Should I disconnect any valves or try to work around them?
I was in same position u are a couple days ago. If u will go look a few threads back my post should be on there with a bunch of help. I coupd get 7 of 8 out had to have a friend that knows some tricks to get that last one out. Pull ur coils off that should help a ton.
changed my spark plugs on my LS1 twice. First time all i did on the passenger side was remove the AIR tube and all coil pack bolts except for the last one which was loosened so I could slide them out of the way.
The second time, which was about 2 weeks ago all I did was removed the AIR tube, NOTHING ELSE!!! Changed the number 8 plug with a 1/4" socket wrench, a 1/4" to 3/8" adapter, and a spark plug socket. Just snake your arm from the front of the engine to the rear, seat the socket, loosen, remove, replace, and tighten. As easy as that. The other 3 plugs on that side can be changed with a 3/8" socket wrench, 1" extension, and a spark plug socket.

I just changed mine for the first time a week or two ago. I have longtube headers but they still have all the emissions hooked up. I took off the coilpack bracket like a lot of other people do. In order to get the very last coilpack bracket bolt, I had to take off the #8 coilpack. I ended up getting the #8 plug from the bottom lol. After I finished all the plugs my hands look like they were put in a blender with all the cuts lol.
Agreed on moving the coil packs. Did the T/A's first spark plug change last year and it was a pain. Damn boots I could not get off, and the plugs where whipping my ***.
